Potential Unclear/Vague Freeforms

 

Nominators, we have modified the following freeform submissions in hopes to clarify their intended relation to the theme of the exchange and/or syntax. Please let us know if the new wording does not properly capture the intent behind your nomination(s):

• 'Dub/Noncon - A sees B is entering a relationship with C and kidnaps B before they can be stolen' modified to 'Dub/Noncon - Character A kidnaps Character B to stop B from entering a relationship with Character C'.
• 'Abuse of Power- All control from B as the relationship goes on to keep them trapped' modified to 'Possessive Behavior - A abuses authority to control B to keep them trapped in relationship'
• 'Dub/Noncon - A doesn't like B (and C if fitting) crushing on C/D so they scare C/D into leaving' has been modified into two different nominations:  'Jealousy - A doesn't like B crushing on C/D so they scare C/D into leaving' and 'Jealousy - A doesn't like B and C crushing on C/D so they scare C/D into leaving.' The change from 'Dub/Noncon' to 'Jealousy' is due to the wording of 'scare into leaving' not being inherently Dub/Noncon. If you would like more of a Dub/Noncon angle on this nomination, please clarify intent/wording in the comments, or use the description of your request to detail what you would like from the request.

I'm not actually the nominator for those potential duplicate freeforms, so feel free to ignore my two cents worth. :) But as someone inclined to request/offer that type of freeform, I think they're different.

For example, I personally would probably avoid 'Obsession - Character A marks/brands Character B' because I'd worry about the branding part being taken very literally and involving immense pain, whereas I'd consider the other two somewhat fluffier and less likely to cause confusion with pain-related DNWs. And the third one could possibly be considered more suitable for a werewolf or vampire set-up than either of the other two?
